Brad Harris

Head Wrestling Coach
Brad is beginning his fifth year as head coach, after being an assistant wrestling coach at Pickerington High School. Coach Harris received his BS in Secondary Education - Social Studies, from Clarion University, where he also competed in wrestling. He will impress upon his athletes the importance of hard work, good conditioning, and solid technique. Brad is married to Jenny who assists Brad in numerous tasks, and oversee the activities of the Stats.

Dan Salinas
Assistant Varsity Coach
Dan is starting his fifth year as the Assistant Varsity Coach and PHSN. He is a graduate of Defiance College, where he earned a BS Degree in Phys Ed/ Health. Dan's coaching experience includes: Head Coach at Patrick Henry for 1 year, Freshman Coach at Toledo St. Francis for 1 year, and Asst. Coach at Defiance College for 4 years. He resides in Pickerington with his wife Julie, and sons Kalob and Drew.

Greg Lahr
JV Coach
Greg graduated from University of Kentucky with a bachelor's in business administration and a masters in business education; Greg teaches at Whitehall-Yearling High School. He wrestled in high school at Pickerington. This is his tenth year coaching wrestling in the Pickerington School District. Greg and his wife, Missy, reside in Pickerington with their daughter, Kaylee, and son, Payton.

Freshman Coach
Derrek is in his first year of coaching with PHSN. He comes to Pickerington from Bexley where he was an assistant wrestling coach.

Volunteer Assistant
Brett is a 2007 Graduate of Pickerington North High School, and is in his first year as a volunteer coach. Brett is currently attending Columbus State University

112 Consolation Round One: Alec Marsico defeated by Leslie Polley (Maple Hts) 7-3. 112 Championship Preliminaries: Alec Marsico defeated by Brian Frehmeyer (Parma) at 6-2.

February 28th - March 1st, 2008 - State Tournament @ Schottenstein Center
Alec Marsico was the only Panther wrestler to qualify to compete in State Wrestling Tournament, in the 112 lb weight class in Division 1. Click here for a link to the complete brackets for all weights and all divisions.

February 22nd - 23rd, 2008 - Central District Tournament – Hilliard Davidson HS
The eight Panther wrestlers that qualified at Sectionals last weekend, competed in the Central District Tournament this weekend. As a team they tied with Marion Franklin and West Carrolton for 15th place overall with 43 points. Individually, Alec Marsico qualified to compete in the State Tournament next weekend by winning the 112 lb weight class to become a District Champion, and Josh Will became a District Placer, taking 6th place in the 103 lb weight class. Matt Ferguson (152) and Richard Moore (189) made it to the consolation quarter finals before bowing out.

February 16th, 2008 - Central District Sectional Qualifying Tournament - Watkins Memorial HS
This weekend started the Road to the State Championships, with the varsity team competing in the Central District Sectional Qualifying Tournament at Watkins Memorial High School. Overall, the team scored 186 points to finish in second place behind Olentangy High School (203). Individually, eight wrestlers finished in the top four to qualify for the District Tournament, and two other wrestlers finished in fifth place as District alternates. In all the Panthers had one Sectional Champion, three Runners-up, two wrestlers take third, two wrestlers take 4th, two take 5th and two take 6th. Individual Results in weight class order are below:

February 7th, 2008 - Central Crossing OCC Dual
The Varsity Team suffered a tough 48-19 loss to Central Crossing in their final OCC dual meet of the season. On Senior Night, only five Panthers could manage wins, but they included both seniors, James Rockwood and Richard Moore. The Panthers ended the OCC season with a dual meet record of 3-2 in the Central Division. The match started at 145 lbs. Individual results were:

February 2nd, 2008 - Best of the Southwest Tournament @ Graham HS
The Varsity Team had a good showing at the “Best of the Southwest” Tournament at Graham High School in St. Paris, OH finishing 4th out of 12 teams behind Graham, Troy Christian, and Lakota West. The Panthers scored 143 points and were just 4.5 points shy of a third place finish. On the day they had one runner-up, one 3rd place finish, four 4th place finishers, four 5th place finishers, and two 6th place finishers. Individual results in weight class order were:

The Varsity took their last overnight trip of the regular season, and won the Team Title at the Wapakoneta Invitational. Every wrestler placed in the top 6 and the Panthers scored 298.5 points to beat Marysville by 6.5 points. Along the way they crowed 4 individual champions. January 12th, 2008 – Mentor Duals
The Varsity Team competed in the Mentor Duals, at Mentor High School in Mentor, OH. The competition there was very tough with several of the boys wrestling wrestlers ranked in the top 10 in Ohio during the day. In the end the team posted a 2-3 record for the day. They opened the tournament against Solon High School and dropped that dual meet by a 21-45 score. Next, they wrestled Elyria High School, the eventual champions of the tournament, and lost by a similar 22-47 score. After this the team rebounded to beat Willoughby South High School 47-21 and then went on to wrestle the Mentor Cardinals, where they dropped their third meet of the day by a 20-46 margin. But again, they rebounded to beat Oregon Clay High School (near Toledo) by the score of 39-30. No Panthers went undefeated on the day but Alec Marsico (112 lbs) , Matt Ferguson (160 lbs), and Alec Lamancusa (215 lbs) all posted 4-1 records on the day.

January 10th, 2008 – Delaware Hayes OCC Dual
The Varsity Wrestlers opened up the OCC Duals portion of their schedule with a win over visiting Delaware Hayes High School by the score of 39-24. Individual results were:

January 5th, 2008 – Kevin Cleveland Memorial Tournament
The Varsity team competed in the Kevin Cleveland Memorial Tournament at Dublin Scioto High School, and finished in second place overall thanks to a strong showing in the final round at the 5 lowest weights. Trailing Brunswick going into the final round, all 5 wrestlers at the lowest weights won their matches to secure second place over Brunswick by 2.5 points. First place was won by Mason HS with 313 points, followed by PHSN with 189, followed by Brunswick with 186.5 in third. Overall PHSN had 11 of their 14 wrestlers place at the tournament, and all were in the top six places. The eleven placers were (in weight class order):

December 28 – 29, 2007 – Wadsworth Grizzly Invitational Tournament
The Varsity Team took only 11 wrestlers to this year's GIT, but still managed a 9th place finish out of 27 teams, scoring 96.5 points. Both of those marks were improvements from last year. Five wrestlers placed at the 2007 GIT. They were (in weight class order):

  • 125 lbs - Brandon Grogan - 5th Place
  • 152 lbs - Conner Gerenscer - 8th place
  • 160 lbs - Matt Ferguson - CHAMPION

December 22nd, 2007 – Panther Duals
The Varsity Wrestlers placed 3rd while hosting the annual Panther Duals Tournament at PHSN. The Panthers opened the tournament by beating cross town rival Pickerington Central by a 50-22 score, and then reeled off wins against Reynoldsburg 39-27, and Dublin Scioto 54-21 to place second (on a tie breaker) in their half of the bracket behind Fairfield. That sent the Panthers to a Championship round match-up with Teays Valley, where the Panthers fell by the score of 15-47. That sent the Panthers into the 3rd Place match, where they soundly defeated River View by the score of 48-18.

Several wrestlers faired very well at the Panther Duals. Brandon Grogan, 125 lbs, was the only Panther to go 5-0 on the day. Several other wrestlers contributed 4 wins with individual 4-1 records on the day. They were (in weight class order):

December 15th, 2007 – Medina Duals
The Varsity Wrestling Team opened their season by placing 3rd at the Medina Duals with a 3-2 record. The Panthers opened the dual tournament with a loss to Mayfield 29-32, then rebounded with a win against Berkshire 44-35. The Panthers then dropped their next dual to Medina by the same 29-32 score before beating Copely-Fairlawn 54-21 and Hubbard 50-20.

February 9th, 2008 - Jon Post JV Tournament @ Westerville North HS
The JV Team closed out their season finishing in second place out of twenty teams at the Jon Post JV Tournament. The Panthers had eight wrestlers place in the top six, which included one champion, one runner-up, two third place finishes, three fourth place finished, and one fifth place finish. Congratulations on a job well done, and a great season. Individual results in weight class order were:

January 31st, 2008 – Thomas Worthington OCC Dual
There were only 3 JV matches wrestled at the Thomas Worthington Dual. Brandon Howes (130) won by technical fall 16-1, Mike Patton (145) won a 13-3 major decision, and Joe George (152) won by fall.

January 26th, 2008 - Cardinal Invitational - Thomas Worthington HS
The JV Team competed in the Cardinal Invitational over the weekend where they had 8 wrestlers place in the top six. Two wrestlers finished as runners up, two took 4th, one took 5th, and three took sixth. Individual results in weight class order were:

December 11th, 2007 – West Jefferson Tri Meet
The JV Team defeated Upper Arlington 53-15 and West Jefferson 33-18 in a tri-meet Tuesday night. The Panthers were led by Jordan Stolz (119), Patrick Lynch (125), Dillon Pinter (135), Joe George (160), and Lamar Craig (HWT), who each went 2-0 and won both of their matches by fall. Also posting wins for the Panthers were Eli Corder (103), Michael Patton (145), Anthony Ditosto (145), Mike Loeffler (152), Alex Glackin (160), Ryan Campbell (189), and Tyler Paxton (HWT).

December 8th, 2007 – Reynoldsburg JV Tournament
The JV Team opened their season by placing 2nd at the Reynoldsburg JV Tournament on Saturday. In all, fifteen Panthers placed in the top 6 at the tournament including two Champions, and four runners-up. Individual results in weight class order were:

Saturday January 19th, 2008 - Marysville Freshmen Tournament
The Freshmen Team competed in their last freshman only tournament of the season, crowing 2 Champions, and four runners up. Individual results in weight class order were:

  • Eli Corder, 103 lbs, 2nd place
  • Danny Donnelly, 112 lbs, 2nd place
  • Brandon Howes, 130 lbs, CHAMPION
  • Dillon Pinter,135 lbs, CHAMPION
  • Michael Patton, 145 lbs, 2nd place
  • Anthony Ditosto, 152 lbs, 2nd place
  • Joe George, 160 lbs, 3rd place
  • Ryan Campbell, 189 lbs, 3rd place

January 12th, 2008– Buckeye Freshmen Classic – Centerville, OH
The Freshmen Team competed in the Buckeye Freshman Classic in Centerville, OH over the weekend, and brought home two individual championships AND the overall team championship (175 pts), besting Mason's freshmen by only 1.5 points. Individual placers at this tournament were (in weight class order):

  • Danny Donnelly, 112 lbs, 2nd place
  • Brandon Howes, 130 lbs, CHAMPION
  • Dillon Pinter, 135 lbs, CHAMPION

January 5th, 2008 – Mega Meet at Pickerington Central
The Freshman Team competed in the Mega Meet at Pickerington Central this weekend. Individual placers at this tournament were (in weight class order):

December 15th, 2007 – Pickerington North Freshmen Tournament
The Freshmen Team came in second place overall with 143 points behind only Hilliard Darby with 175 at this tournament. Individual placers at this tournament were (in weight class order):
