playoffs. Junior Alex Borgan, Senior Adam Miller and Junior
Kenny Yurasek combined to pitch the Panthers to victory.

The Panthers (22-4) (9-1 OCC) continued their winning ways
with a 6-1 win over host D4 Power Newark Catholic. Senior
Chris Brubaker threw a complete game to pick up his 3rd win
of the season.

The Pickerington North Baseball team (21-4) (9-1 OCC) won
their 13th and 14th consecutive games Saturday against visiting
Teays Valley and Zanesville. In the first game, Sophomore
Chase Myers (3-0) pitched 5 solid innings to pick up the win.
Senior Chris Brubaker picked up his 3rd save of the season.
Hitting stars include: Juniors Alex Borgan-3 hits; Eric Brindle-2
hits; Senior Adam Miller-2 hits. The Panthers were sparked
by Speedster Freshman Alex Green scoring all the way from
1st on a single to the outfield. In the second game, 5th seeded
Zanesville (21-3) was no match for the hot hitting Panthers
(21-4). The Panthers exploded for 12 hits and 9 runs en route
to a
9-0 shutout. Juniors Alex Borgan and Kenny Yurasek and Senior
Adam Miller combined to give up just 4 hits in the win. Miller
stayed hot at the plate with 2 hits and 2 runs. Other Panthers
with 2 hits include: Senior Byron Johann, Juniors Alex Bayer,
Jake Isabel and Sophomore Kyle Jeffries.

The Panther bats stayed hot with 11 hits in beating league
rival Thomas Worhtington 10-6. Junior Matt Hayes (4-0) pitched
6 2/3 innings to pick up the win and Senior Chris Brubaker
recorded the final out to pick up the save. Offensively, the
Panthers (19-4) (9-1 OCC) were led with 2 hits apiece by Senior
Adam Miller and Junior Hayes-including a 3-run HR blast to
secure the victory.

Baseball crown Monday versus host Central Crossing. The Panther
bats exploded for 19 runs on 20 hits and defensively played
error free to give Junior Kenny Yurasek (4-1) the win. Hitting
stars were Juniors Eric Brindle-2 hits, 2 runs, 3 RBI; Alex
Bayer-3 hits, 3 RBI; Jake Isabel-2 hits, 3 RBI; Alex Borgan-2
hits, 3 runs; Kenny Yurasek-2 hits; Senior Adam Miller-3 hits,
3 runs, 4 RBI; and Sophomore Kyle Jeffries-3 hits, 3 runs,
2 RBI.

The Panthers (17-4) (7-1 OCC) had 16 hits to beat host Bloom
Carroll. Senior Byron Johann stayed hot with 4 hits in 4 AB's
including a HR, Double and 5 RBI as well as 2 Stolen Bases.
Junior Alex Bayer added 3 hits and Juniors Jake Isabel and
Kenny Yurasek added 2 hits in the win.

Wow, if you missed this one, you missed one of the best high
school games of the year. The Panthers (16-4) (7-1 OCC) came
back from a 9-3 deficit in the 6th inning to take a commanding
2 game lead in the OCC with 2 games to go. Senior Adam Miller
came in to relieve Junior Alex Borgan and pitched a great
6 innings to pick up his 2nd win of the year. In all, the
game went 10 innings with the Panthers smacking 17 hits. Junior
Eric Brindle led the way with 4 hits in 5 AB's and scored
3 runs. Junior Kenny Yurasek had the game winning RBI with
bases loaded to go along with his 3 hits, and Juniors Borgan,
Matt Hayes, and Jake Isabel each had 2 hits apiece. Senior
Byron Johann added 2 hits, 2 runs, and 2 RBI.

The Panthers (15-4) (6-1 OCC) picked up an important OCC win
against visiting Westerville Central. Juniors Kenny Yurasek
and Matt Hayes combined for the victory by pitching 7 solid
innings. The Panther defense has no errors in the win. Offensively,
the Panthers were led by Central District Player of the Week
Byron Johann with 2 hits including a double. Also, Juniors
Alex Bayer--Triple and Kenny Yurasek--Triple.

The Panthers (14-4-1) (5-1 OCC) took both games of a double-header
from visiting D2 power Utica. In game 1, Senior Adam Miller
came in relief of Junior Alex Borgan to pick up the win with
5 solid innings of pitching. Junior Eric Brindle collected
3 hits including a double and triple. Miller added a triple
and Junior Jake Isabel had 2 key hits in the win. In Game
2, Sophomore Chase Myers (2-0) pitched 4 good innings and
Senior Chris Brubaker came in relief. Senior Byron Johann
stayed hot with 3 more hits and 3 RBI. Junior Jake Isabel
added 3 hits as well.

visiting Lancaster. The Panthers (12-4-1) (5-1 OCC) were led
by Senior Byron Johann's 2 Monster Home Runs and 6 RBI. Junior
Alex Borgan added a Grand Slam and 5 RBI. Junior Eric Brindle
collected 4 hits in the win.

runs, 2 hits and 2 RBI. Juniors Matt Isabel-3 hits and 2 RBI;
and Jake Isabel 2 hits, 1 run and 1 RBI contributed in the
OCC win.

the road @ Thomas Worthington 6-5. Junior Alex Borgan (3-1)
pitched 7 innings and had 7 strikeouts to lead the Panthers
to victory. Senior Byron Johann led the Panthers with 3 hits,
including a 3 Run Home Run and 5 RBI. Senior Adam Miller added
2 hits and Junior Jake Isabel contributed 3 more hits.

Pickerington North 19 Reynoldsburg 4
The Panthers (8-4-1) (3-1 OCC) split 2 games with visiting
Reynoldsburg. In the first game, Junior Kenny Yurasek (1-1)
got the loss in relief of senior Adam Miller. Miller added
2 hits and 2 runs. Juniors Jake Isabel-2 hits and 3 RBI and
Yurasek-2 hits and 1 run led the Panther offense. In all,
the Panthers had 11 hits with 3 costly errors. In the second
game, Sophomore Chase Meyers (2-0) pitched 5 good innings
to get the win. The offense rebounded from the first game
and put up 19 runs on 19 hits and 0 errors. Hitting stars
of the game were Sophomores Xander Uxley-3 hits, 2 runs and
2 RBI and Kyle Jeffries-3 hits, 4 runs; Juniors Eric Brindle-Triple,
3 runs, 2 RBI and Alex Bayer-2 hits, 2 RBI and Matt Hayes-2
hits, 2 runs and Kenny Yurasek-2 hits, 2 runs, 2 RBI; Seniors
Adam Miller-3 hits, 3 runs, and 2 RBI and Byron Johann-2 hits

The Panthers (7-3-1) (3-1 O.C.C.) exploded for 17 runs and
18 hits in a 5 inning Run Rule over host Pickerington Central.
This was the first meeting of the 2 schools. Junior Matt Hayes
(2-0) picked up the win with 5 good innings. Junior Alex Bayer
took player of the game honors with a double, triple and a
Monster 3 run Home Run. Bayer ended with 5 RBI and 4 runs.
Senior Byron Johann added 3 hits (2 doubles) and 2 runs in
the win.

The Panthers (6-3-1) (3-1 OCC) pounded out 17 runs on 21 hits
to pick up the OCC win. Junior Kenny Yurasek (1-0) picked
up the win in relief of Junior Jake Isabel. Senior Adam Miller
went 4-4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs to lead the Panthers. Junior
Matt Hayes had 3 big hits and 2 RBI as well.

against league foe Delaware. Junior Alex Borgan (1-1) had

The Panthers (5-2-1) (2-0 OCC) took both games of a double-header
against Watkins Memorial on Saturday. In the first game, Junior
Matt Hayes (1-0) picked up his first win of the year. Offensively,
the Panthers scored in every inning but the 7th. Junior Alex
Bayer was on fire with 3 hits, 3 RBI and 2 runs Also, Junior
Kenny Yurasek hit his 1st career HR and just missed another.
He ended with 2 hits, 3 runs, and 4 RBI. In the second game,
Senior Chris Brubaker (2-1) and Sophomore Chase Myers (0-0)
combined for a 1-hit shutout 5 inning run rule. The Panther
bats stayed hot with 14
hits in 5 innings. Seniors Adam Miller and Byron Johann had
2 hits and 2 runs each. Juniors Eric Brindle and Alex Bayer
had 2 hits as well. Also Junior Jake Isabel had 3 hits and

Senior Adam Miller came in to close the game in the 7th. The
Panther bats banged out 19 hits in the win. Senior Byron Johann
hit a towering Home Run and Juniors Alex Bayer and Jake Isabel
had 3 hits apiece. Sophomore catcher Kyle Jeffries continued
his hot hitting with 3 more hits. Also leading the way were
Juniors Matt Hayes (2 doubles) and Eric Brindle 2 hits.

Finally, a win for the 2008 Panther Baseball team. Senior
Chris Brubaker (1-0) led the Panthers (1-1-1) to a 4-0 win
over New Albany. He pitched a complete game 1-hit shutout.
Junior Jake Isabel led the Panther hitting attack with 3 hits.
Junior Kenny Yurasek made several great catches in Centerfield
and also made a catch and throw to 1st for the rare 7-3 Double
play.

A first for Pickerington North, A tie. The Panthers (0-1-1)
played Watterson to an 8-8 tie after 10 innings. The game
was called due to darkness with no make-up scheduled. The
Panther hitting attack was led by Senior Byron Johann with
4 hits and 5 RBI.

The season did not start out on a positive note for the Panther
Baseball team (0-1). The team dropped its first contest of
the season. The Offense was led by Juniors Eric Brindle (2
for 3) and Alex Bayer (2 for 4 with 2 RBI and 2 doubles).
Senior Byron Johann stole 2 bases in the loss. Brindle and
Sophomore Brady Heins made several outstanding defensive plays.
Junior Jake Isabel (0-1) took the loss coming in relief of

Kyle Sorensen started his first JV game, giving up 1 run on
5 hits while striking out 3 through 4 innings.

The Panthers won 20 – 1 in 5 innings. They were lead
offensively by Alex Green (3 for 3 with 3 runs and 2 RBIs),

(1 for 3 with 2 runs and 3 RBIs). Drew Williams and Matt Scerba
combined to hold the Warriors to 1 run on just 3 hits.

Offensively, the Panthers were lead by, Austin Butler who

They were lead offensively by Zach Huskey, who went 2 for
3. Xander Uxley drew 3 walks scoring 2 runs. Drew Williams
had a bases clearing double, and Austin Butler had a game

1 and 1/3 innings to get the win.

Panthers run rule the #3 seed Lancaster Gales in Lancaster
this past Saturday. Senior Andy Podolak improved to 5-1 on
the season with a complete game victory. He also led the Panthers
with a towering Homerun. Sophomore Alex Bayer had 3 hits and
3 runs, Junior Byron Johann had 3 hits and 5 RBI, Eric Brindle,
Adam Miler, and Brett McEvoy each had 2 hits in the victory.
The Panthers smacked 16 hits in 5 innings in their final tune-up
before the Sectional tournament coming up this Thurday. The
Panthers finish the regular season with a 17-8 record and
7-3 mark in the OCC.

10-7 this past Thursday. Sophomore Jake Isabel pitched a solid
5 innings and Alex Borgan came in to preserve the win. Sophomore

Homerun to lead the Panthers to victory. Isabel, Adam Miller,
Andy Podolak and Brett McEvoy each had 2 hits in the win.

Brindle, Justin Ellis, Alex Bayer and Nick Bayer each had
2 hits to lead the Panthers.

in to get the save in the 7th. The game ended on a perfect
relay from the left field fence started by Adam Miller (LF)
relayed by Eric Brindle (SS) and caught by Alex Bayer (C).
The Panthers were also paced by Home Runs from Sophomores
Eric Brindle and Alex Bayer.

attack. The Panthers smacked 6 Homeruns--2 each from Ellis
and fellow Senior Andy Podolak and one each from Byron Johann
and Eric Brindle. Alex Bayer contributed 3 hits and 4 RBI.
The win improved the Panthers overall record to 11-5 and 5-2
in the OCC.

The Panthers stayed hot and put up 17 runs in only 5 innings
in the 2nd game of the Double header. The highlight of the
day came when Sophomore pitcher Matt Hayes (1-2) threw the
first NO-HITTER in school history. Hitting stars with 2 hits
apiece were: Eric Brindle, Adam Miller, Justin Ellis, Byron
Johann, Matt Hayes, Alex Borgan, Kyle Kellogg, and Paul Callahan.
Overall the Panthers are 10-5 and 4-2 in the OCC.

Byron Johann each had 2 hits to lead the Panthers.

over visiting Bexley on Sat. Sophomore Jake Isabel came in
relief of Alex Borgan and pitched a solid 4 innings for the
Panthers. The second game of the double-header was rained
out with no make-up date. The Panthers look forward to warmer
weather this week with 6 games scheduled through Saturday.

overall and 2 wins and 2 losses in the OCC.

The Panthers picked up an OCC league win with their 12-2 victory
over Central Crossing last Fri. Senior Justin Ellis (1-0)
picked up his first victory in his first start of the season.
Junior Adam Miller pitched a solid 3 innings to lead the Panthers
to victory. The Panthers smacked 16 hits in only 6 innings.
Sophomore Eric Brindle continued his hot hitting with 3 hits.
Senior Nick Bayer and his brother Sophomore Alex Bayer continued
hitting success as well to lead the Panthers in victory.

OCC victory. Opposing pitcher Ben Thomas struck out 13 Panther
batters. The Panther dropped to (1-2) in the league and (3-4)
overall.

The Panthers traveled to Cincinnati for Spring Break this
past weekend to attempt to play 3 games against some good
competition. Unfortunately, mother nature took over and only
one game was played. Junior Byron Johann (0-1) lost his first
game of the season and the Panthers lost 8-2. The
highlight of th egame was the 15 minute Snow Delay in the
3rd inning. Play resumed but the Panthers offense stayed cold.
The only hitting stars of the game were: Senior Andy Podolak
with 2 doubles; Sophomores Eric Brindle with 3 singles and
Matt Hayes 1 hit and 2 RBI. Good luck to the Panthers next
week as they have 3 consecutive league games scheduled M,
T, and W.

The Panthers opened OCC league play today @ Marysville with
a solid 9-0 win. Senior Andy Podolak (2-0) pitched a complete
game to pick up the win. Offensively, the Panthers pounded
out 8 hits including a 1st inning 3-run HR by Senior Brett
McEvoy. Other hitting stars of the game were Sophomores Eric
Brindle-2 hits and 3 runs and Alex Bayer-2hits and 3 RBI.
Defensively, the Panthers were perfect with several spectacular
plays including turning 2 double plays by Justin Ellis and
eric Brindle and a diving catch made by Junior Kyle Kellogg.

a rain shortened 8-3 final. Sophomore Alex Borgan (0-1) took
the loss. The Panther offense could only get 4 singles against
a solid Raider pitching staff. The second game of the DH was
rained out.

in relief of Byron Johann. The offense was led by Seniors
Brett McEvoy and Nick Bayer and Sophomore Eric Brindle all
contributing 3 hits in the win.

The Pickerington North Baseball Team opened the season last
Tuesday with a 12-5 win over host Canal Winchester. Senior
Andy Podolak (1-0) picked up the win and Sophomore Alex Borgan
pitched 3 strong innings in relief. Senior Justin Ellis paced
the Panthers with 3 hits and 5 RBI's. He also delivered a
towering 3-Run Home Run to put away the Indians. Other hitting
stars were: 3 hits-Senior Nick Bayer, 2 hits each-Eric Brindle,
Alex Bayer and Brett McEvoy.

his overall record to 6-0 with the complete game win. The
Watkins loss was their first in the conference this season.
The Panthers finished the league with a 7-3 mark and Watkins
ended 9-1.

relieved Sophomore Adam Miller to pick up his second win of

Lee Norman came up with 2 hard hits to pace the Panther attack.
Senior Nick Nevius had the game winning RBI in the bottom
of the 8th inning to lead the Panthers to victory.

Sullivan paced the Panthers with a Home Run and a triple and
Senior Lee Norman collected 3 hits and 3 RBI's. Senior Mike
Gould also had 3 hits for the Panthers.

against Westerville North. The Panthers jumped out to a 6
run lead and held on for the win 9 to 8. Seniors Mark Galvin-3
hits and 3 runs, and Chris Nordaby-2 hits and 2 RBI led the
Panthers. Galvin came in in the 7th to pick up his 2nd win
this season. Junior Andy Podalak drove in the winning run
in the bottom of the 7th with a sacrifice fly.

Panthers. Junior Andy Podalak had 2 hits and 3 RBI and Seniors
Pat Sullivan and Matt Isabel each had 3 hits to lead the Panthers
to victory.

Ellis-3 hits paced the Panthers at bat. This was the Panthers
first loss of the season. Land O Lakes record is currently
24 and 3.
