Meeting Minutes
December 12, 2005
Opening Remarks –Meeting called to order by Don
Gordon. Minutes from November meeting
approved.
Treasurer Report – Dave Lawler - Copy of
treasurer report distributed to those in attendance. Our annual football banquet was over budget this year due to our
club paying for the cheerleaders. This
was a miscommunication between the cheerleaders club and us. Copy of Bingo
report distributed.
Old Business:
Bingo – We are
averaging 50 bingo players per week. We hope to see an increase over time. Alicia Reed: One of our Bingo players has coordinated a bus trip and would
like us to provide Bingo coupons to those attending her trip. The coupon would be for $5 off Bingo, one time use. The coupon will be good
for the first 2 weeks in January after which time it will expire. It will be good for one person and one
friend. Alicia will make the
coupons. Motions to approve by Steve
Johann, seconded by Scott Glackin, motion approved.
Banquet –The
banquet was nice this year but somewhat crowded. We may need to look into alternate plans for next year.
Valentine Dance – Our
annual valentine dance will be held February 11, 2006 @ the American
Legion. Christy will contact the band
to again confirm, Dave will contact Berwick to request a food estimate. Everyone needs to help in obtaining raffle
items for the dance. A committee is
being formed for the dance with Christy Campbell the chairperson. Ron Mason and Erin Glackin volunteered to be
part of the committee. We will have a meeting in early January. This will be sent as an email if anyone
would like to attend to help in planning the dance. Ron Mason offered to make signs advertising the dance to place is
storefront windows around town. We
would also like to possible place a large sign at the corner of Refugee and 256
to advertise the dance.
New Business:
Football Schedule: The 2006 football schedule was distributed to those in attendance.
Plaque Presentation: Don Gordon
presented a plaque to Bob Daniel for his service as Vice President to the QB
Club. We hope Bob continues to be a
part of the football program and plan to keep him updated with the club. Bob stated that he has enjoyed working and
helping with the team and QB Club. He
enjoys being a part of the boys’ lives and will continue to help as
needed. He said to call him anytime we
are in need of help.
