Meeting Minutes
November
11, 2005
Opening Remarks – Meeting
called to order by Bob Daniel. Don
Gordon on vacation. Minutes from
October meeting approved.
Coaches Report – None at this
time.
Secretary Report – Minutes from
October meeting were approved. Motion
by Dave Lawler, seconded by Luanne Shumate, motion carried.
Treasurer Report – Dave Lawler –
Copy of treasurer report distributed to those in attendance. Bingo is doing well. We have had approximately 45 people playing
bingo, but would like to see at least 50 players per week.
Old/Current Business:
Banquet – Luanne Shumate – The banquet is scheduled for November 20th
at Berwick. We will begin check-in at
4:30 p.m. We need to find out if the QB
club pays for the cheerleaders and their coaches. Christy will call Marlene Jablonka or Lori Sanders to find out
what has been done in the past. Hope
Boren and Lisa Stevens have done a great job of getting invitations out and
keeping track of responses and expenses.
Valentines
– Dave Lawler – The hall (American Legion)
& band (The Jack) have been confirmed for February 11. We need to form
committee to plan food and door prizes.
Officer
Election – Nominations:

Vice President – Alicia Reed nominated by
Dave Lawler, seconded by Christy Campbell, all in favor
Secretary – Christy Campbell nominated by
Bob Daniel, seconded by Alicia Reed, all in favor.
Treasurer – Dave Lawler nominated by Bob
Daniel, seconded by Bill Lozan, all in favor.
Special Note – We would like to recognize Bob Daniel who has served as VP. Thank you Bob for your commitment to our
club and football program. Bob will
continue to play a role with the football program in the press box and more in
the upcoming year. Bob thanked everyone
and stated that he has enjoyed being a part of Panther football and he will
continue to support the program.
New Business:
Kroger
Classic – Christy attended the Athletic Booster
meeting this month, however Bob Cruise who is in charge of the tournament did
not have the Quarterback Club’s work assignment. The Classic is on December 28- 30 and we are responsible for
concessions on those days. We will have
a sign-up sheet with the times of the shifts at the December meeting. An informal sign-up was distributed
now. If you are available to work
please call Christy. We will need approximately 5 people for each 4-hour
shift. There are 2 shifts per day.
Replica
Football Jersey – Steve Lewis – Steve has an order
form for the replica jerseys. He will bring the forms to the banquet if anyone
is interested in placing an order. Steve currently has 10 people who have
committed to order and he needs 12 to actually place the order.
NHS – National Honor Society student Renea Taylor attended the meeting to
take pictures for the yearbook. Renea
also said that the NHS members would be happy to volunteer their time to us if
needed. Each member needs community service hours by the end of January. We can contact Carla Foltz for further
information.
