Panther Quarterback Club
Meeting Minutes
Opening Remarks – Meeting
called to order by Don Gordon. Minutes
from October meeting approved.
Coaches Report – Coach
Bahen-Coach wanted to make a point to address 3 issues:
1. Club Meetings: Coach had informed Don Gordon in August that
he would not be able to attend club meetings during the season. His son is a senior football player at a
different school and Monday nights were film nights for his son’s team. Coach was not able to watch his son’s games,
so he had planned to attend films.
Coach stated that maybe he should have had another coach on his staff
attend club meetings to represent the program.
2. Rumors: Coach
wanted to put an end to rumors about him resigning his coaching job. The rumors are false speculation and he has
no intention of resigning. If he were to resign his position, then he would
call meeting and inform the players himself. Coach wants an end to the rumors.
The AD, Mark Aprile and Principle, Mr. Smith want coach to stay as head coach
at PHSN. Coach will evaluate his staff
at the end of the year and along with Mark Aprile they will decide who stays
and who goes.
3. Negative Attitudes:
Coach said the negativity needs to stop. He feels terrible for all of the players about the bad year. Do not blame the players and position
coaches. Place blame on him as head
coach if blame needs to be placed. We
are here as a club to support the players and that is the clubs sole
purpose. If anyone is not happy with
Coach Bahen- he said to write a letter to the Principle & A.D.
Coach is not
happy with the season results but our team has a very high GPA and he is happy that our players continue to
perform in the classroom. Coach
welcomed new officers and hopes that we can go forward in a positive
manner. Coach thanked QB Club officers
from this past year for doing a great job.

balance at the end of the season. The

Laundry: Due to the weather conditions at the last game, Barb, the person
who handles the laundry was forced to discard the towels. The towels were so muddy, they could not be
salvaged. She is not charging the club to replace them. The club decided to give Barb a senior
poster or picture from the last game signed by the players to her as a
gift.

charge next year.
