Meeting Minutes

September 12, 2005

Opening Remarks –Meeting called to order by Don Gordon. Minutes from August meeting approved.

Coaches Report – Coach Bahen not in attendance. Coach Bahen showing game films tonight and every Monday night during the season in the Lecture Hall @ 7p.m. All parents are welcome to attend.

Secretary Report – Minutes from August club meeting were approved. Motion by LouAnn Shumate, seconded by Carla Jerome, motion carried. A list of months that each class is responsible to work Bingo and their phone tree representative name was distributed.

Treasurer Report – Dave Lawler not in attendance. Copy of treasurer report distributed to those in attendance.

Old Business:

Bingo – Our first Bingo was held September 7^th. We had 46 Bingo players in attendance and many volunteers. Thank you to all volunteers who helped that night. Each week our attendance will increase through word of mouth and advertising. Mary Evans and Hope Boren are making a flyer for QB Club members to distribute to friends and family. All members are encouraged to come to Bingo to learn how it all works. Bingo is each Wednesday @ the American Legion. Doors open at 5:30, Bingo starts @ 7:00.

T-Shirt Sale – The t-shirt orders will be ready this week. They will be delivered to each coach on Thursday September 9^th.

Game Volunteers – We are still in need of a few volunteers for this week’s game. Those in attendance offered to work programs. Tammy Hackett will fill the remaining positions with freshman parents.

New Business:

Bonfire – The bonfire will take place Thursday 9/15 to kick-off Homecoming. It will be held near the Junior High parking lot beginning around 8:30 p.m. Senior players should attend. Coach Bahen will be announcing senior players. Refreshments will be served free of charge (hotdogs, chips, water). The pallets are being gathered and delivered by Mike Boren. The fire department will start & distinguish the fire for safety.

Banquet – Committee needs to be formed. We would like representatives from each class to participate on this committee. A Banquet committee meeting will be held at Tim Horton’s September 25^th @ 7p.m. Parents interested in helping with the committee are encouraged to attend. The Banquet will be held mid November.

Website – We plan to post our meeting minutes on the Panther Website starting this month.

Valentine Dance – Our annual valentine dance will be held February 11, 2006 @ the American Legion.

Officer Election – Election of 2005-2006 officers will be at the next club meeting October 10^th.

Motion to adjourn by Bill Stevens, seconded by Cathy Assmann, motion carried.
