Old/Current Business:

Bingo--It will was our 1 year anniversary for Bingo on September 7.  Cheerleaders will no longer handle concessions at Bingo.  Don asked other sport clubs if they are interested in taking it over. No interest was generated.  Beginning September 20 we will need 1-2 extra volunteer to run concessions at bingo.

Away Game Snacks- FYI away games snacks are on the equipment bus for after the games.  Cheryl Effinger has volunteered to handle these snacks.

Volunteers – It has been an ongoing problem with obtaining game volunteers at the last minute.  Please encourage other parents to show up on time also.

Team Meals – A discussion took place again about providing after game meals to encourage bonding and camaraderie among families.

New Business:

Fanfare/Spirit –  Many ideas were generated to promote fan spirit.  1. We will have a Caravan to the Watkins game and tailgate there. Christy will email families to inform them. 2.  We will encourage all players 7th, 8th, 9th, to form a wall of spirit to cheer the team into the stadium.  3. We will give away noisemakers to fans.  Jan Shore will look into ordering those items.  A motion for QB club to designate $100 towards fanfare items, by Hope Boren, 2nd Jan Shore, all in favor, motion carried.

Annual Homecoming Bonfire- Oct. 12th—The cheerleaders are in charge.  Mike Boren will provide the pallets as he has done in the past.

Concessions at Cross Country Meet- Oct. 28  Cross Country will hold a meet in which they are requesting approx. 20 volunteers to work concessions.  The meet is from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Those in attendance agreed that the football club would commit to work a shift from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00. Don will inform the Cross Country club.

Banquet-A committee was formed to start planning the end of season banquet.  Each class is represented by at least 2 people.  A committee meeting will be held on Sept. 17, 1:00p.m. @ Camille’s Restaurant.  Anyone interested in helping with the banquet can attend.  A tentative date for the Banquet is November 12th.  Christy Campbell will call Berwick, Don Gordon will contact the Spirit Club, Dave Lawler will get video estimates.  Dave also volunteered to do the AV set-up for the banquet.

Motion to adjourn by Jan Shore, seconded by Kathy Brown, motion carried.

Dates to remember:  October 9th next club meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Christy Campbell, Secretary
