Coaches Report –Coach Bahen – Coach announced we now have a recruiting handbook that can be accessed through www.PickeringtonPanthers.com. This packet will help parents with the recruiting process for their players.  To help facilitate this handbook, Coach Bahen will hold a meeting in the lecture hall within the next two weeks, in which he will ask a counselor to attend also.  It should be a goal for every player to attend college in order to further their education whether they plan to play collegiate football or not.  Coach also announced that Coach Zach Howard has resigned from the Defensive Coordinator position.  There are currently two prospects being considered to fill this position.  Coach apologized for the calendar not on the website, and hopes to have it updated very soon.

Varsity football camp will be held on the following dates:  July 20, 21 and July 24 -28.  Junior High camp will be held July 24-26.  Camp prices will remain the same as last year.  Double Sessions will begin August 3rd.  Acclamation days will be August 3, 4, 5;  pads on August 7, first day of hitting August 8.  Please avoid vacations, if possible, during this time.  Our first scrimmage will be Aug. 12 @ 10a.m. vs. Dublin Kaufman; 2nd scrimmage is Aug. 18 @ home vs. Westerville South.  Our first game is scheduled August 25 @ home vs. Walnut Ridge.  We are now in a new league for 2006 & 2007.  The OCC is planning a major realignment and we may be in a league with bigger teams in 2008.  We currently have approx. 65-70 players in our lifting program.  Coach met with a representative from “Big Season” which promoted a running/training program for our players.  He has also met with Ohio University graduate, Chad Brinker, who would like to put together a program for player speed development.  Chad is well educated and very informed with regards to exercise/nutrition and may be willing to put a program together free of charge.

Secretary Report – Minutes from January club meeting were approved. Motion by, Heidi Schone, seconded by Luann Shumate motion carried. Christy still has the Kroger fundraising cards if anyone would like them.

Treasurer Report – Dave Lawler (absent)- Copy of treasurer report distributed to those in attendance.  Copy of Bingo report was distributed.  February was our best month for Bingo.  The Valentine Dance did not prove to be as profitable compared to 2005, but we didn’t lose money.   Motion to approve Treasurer report by Jerry Schone, seconded by Coach Bahen, motion carried.

Old Business:

Bingo – A questionnaire was distributed to our Bingo patrons whom were asked how they felt if we did not offer Bingo during the week of Spring Break.  The majority of patrons suggested that we continue to offer Bingo during this time because it may cause us to lose customers during future weeks.  We will not cancel Bingo the week of Spring Break.   We will start offering bottled water, at no charge, to bingo volunteers while working.  Bingo is no longer taking place at Catholic schools in the Lancaster area.  Don has contacted those churches and plans to place a flyer in their bulletins advertising our Bingo.  Don will look into placing an ad in the Panther Athletic Spring Program and he will contact Setan Parish to advertise in their bulletin.

New Business:

Golf Outing: August 19, 2 p.m. @ The Landings Golf Course

Booster Club Fundraising Rep: We need one volunteer from our club to serve on 1 of 4 fundraising committees for the Athletic Boosters. Lynn Foltz volunteered to represent the QB Club and to serve on a committee.
