Lana is working on collecting money for scoreboard. Damon’s check was sent to Tigers Boosters by mistake, and deposited by that organization. They are to write PHSN Booster Club a check for $2,000 to correct the situation. Jerry Moore has given directions on how to log it in, so it doesn’t count as income two years in a row.
Fall sport coaches present:
Second in sectional, seventh in district. Pleased with season. Thanked Booster Club for their support.
Team is 5-3, still looking for playoff berth, presently ninth in region (top eight make it to playoffs). Thanked Booster Club for their financial and emotional support.
Reviewed fall sports successes. Boys and girls soccer and cross country all won league championships.
Soccer teams will play their playoff games at home- they must keep winning to keep playing.
Regional cross country meet will be hosted by PHSN October 30th- big event!
Discussion:
Some clubs have inquired into running concessions- event will bring in as many or more people than a home football game. Looking into using main concession as well as trailers. Concessions should be ready to go by 9:30 the latest. Baseball and dance are interested in staffing- others can volunteer as well, it should be very profitable.
Made $663 last week through this fundraiser.
Trey Hunter Memorial- Lori Sanders still looking in to this.
Press Box Painting- no update
Membership- Mark Uher
Up over $6600 from last year. Presently $37,725 raised; total of 340 memberships.
Holiday Classic- Bob Cruse
Clubs need to turn volunteer sheets in by November 7th!!
Move January meeting to Jan. 9th to collect tickets and avoid MLK weekend. Motion made by M. Uher, seconded by B. Cruse, motion approved. Drawing to be held at prep shootout.
Marcia Stewart presented girl’s tennis new fundraiser- they are making fleece blankets and selling them for $30, embroidery costs an extra $10. Fleece scarf in Panther colors is $10.
Dance club asked about fundraisers- Paul reported that as long as the fundraiser doesn’t involve contacting the businesses that are off limits, then clubs are free to do what they want. Fundraisers should be indicated on their proposed budget.
Meeting
adjourned at 8:00pm. Next meeting
Sunday November 21st 7:30 pm.
