- Greg Van Kannel- assistant coach boys soccer- Had nice win over last
years state champ.

Invitational. Six girls at the high school level, nine at the junior high
level. Sectionals next Tuesday.
- Mark Aprile
1. Facilities: Baseball, softball, track, and cross country has taken
list of items that need to be completed to Turner Construction
2. Be conservative financially- gate receipts of around $5000.00 per game,
much lower then past years. It is critical to take a conservative approach
to keep within budget. One idea is to find a way to keep banquets at a
lower cost. Combined budget of all banquets is probably a 6 figure cost.
3. Concessions- The design of the stadium separating the visitor crowd
and the home crowd has not been put into place and most likely will not
be put into place this year. With the opened gate, the crowd flow has
not favored the athletic booster concession stand.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE (Vince
Krivda)

NEW BUSINESS
- PABC Sports Raffle. PABC raffle for sports club kick-off meeting at
PHS Central On October 15th. Both schools will run together. This is one
product that the whole community is selling.
1. Top prize -25,000.00 car
2. Second prize- one year lease on a car
3. Many other prizes available
Decision to have the raffle was made due to the fact that many sport groups
had included the raffle in their annual budget plan.
- October 15th Joint Meeting. Details of the plan will be discussed at
an Executive board meeting October 15th.
- Discussion took place as to the details of the raffle from last year
and how it should work.
- Uniform Fees. Question was asked as how to seek reimbursement for parents
from a sport group who purchased a uniform for a student who was unable
to pay. Discussion to handle athletic costs for those students who do
not have the funds to participate in the sports. When the athletic director
is made aware of a situation with an athlete who cannot meet costs for
uniforms, equipment etc., the individual sport club should attempt to
handle the situation and meet costs. The satellite club should need additional
help, the booster club should be approached.
- ACTION TAKEN. For this immediate
situation, motion was made by Scott Meyerrose and seconded by Marcia Stewart
to reimburse those parents. Motion passed to reimburse the Acers Club
$65.
- Parking
Fees. Discussion about the parking fee. Mark reports that the majority
of the parking is free. The reserve area is for those that pay through
their booster membership fee. The parking fee originated from the deficit
in transportation costs. It was suggested that someone take ownership of
the parking policy and their regulation.
- ACTION
TAKEN. Mark Aprile will go back and discuss the situation with those who
approved the situation and then will report back at the next meeting.
- Fundraising.
Dr. Schone discussed the importance of putting a fund raising policy in
place that works for the community. The executive board is open to new
ideas for how to raise funds. Draft fund raising policies on October 1st.
- ACTION TAKEN. Refer the proposal for action
by PABC Executive Board on October 1st. Proposal from Lady Panther’s Rebounder
Club to sell sponsor slots on the basketball scorer’s table. Parents of
the basketball team will sell the sponsor slots in conjunction with the
Tiger Tip Off Club. The Lady Panther’s Rebounder Club will keep 80% of
the proceeds and Panther’s boosters board will receive 20%. Motion was
made by Mike Mahoney and 2nd by Vince Krivda. Motion carried to refer
action by the Executive Board. |
