At 7:30 pm Mark Uher convened the meeting and encouraged
e-mail addresses for primary means of communication.
Reviewed constitution- one executive board to promote
cooperation between the two distinct booster clubs- Tigers and Panthers.
Co-chairs of executive board – Geno to represent Tigers and Dick to represent
Panthers. Each Sports Club is to have president, vice-president, treasurer
and secretary. President serves on board of directors at booster club
meetings. Tour of concessions facility.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE (Mark Uher)
- May need to adjust membership fees due to participation fees
- Presently family level $20 (200 members), $50 (50 members), $100 &
$250 (very few)
- Discussed joining by sports club, people stated they preferred to keep
existing level and lower price for lowest level and coordination of the
prices with the Tigers Athletic Boosters
- Need to sell Booster Club and explain what they’re doing and what benefit
there is in joining Boosters Club
- New proposed levels:
LEVEL 1: $35
LEVEL 2: $75
LEVEL 3: $150 (pullovers and parking)
LEVEL 4: $250 Panthers and corporate (pullovers, punch card for all home
events, reserved FB seats, parking) Motion to approve levels made by Doug
Oxley and seconded by Greg Boone. Motion approved.
CONCESSIONS COMMITTEE (Geno Persichetti)
- Mitch Wilson is working with Mark Uher on scheduling of concessions
- Geno Persichetti is working on equipping concessions: football, inside
high school and inside junior high
- No equipment in jr. high concessions
- High school has supply room with freezer and 2 refrigerators; stand
has refrigerator and ice machine
- Barb Geist has helped with filing to avoid need to vent/exhaust in stand,
which is a $9,200 savings
- Equipment needed to purchase: Best Restaurant Equipment and Design can
design, provide and install equipment

2. hot food buffet (warmer with wells) for countertop
3. hot food display case
4. coffee brewers and percolators
5. ice maker (large)
6. 35 cubic foot refrigerator
7. 23 cubic foot freezer
8. electric range
9. electric food warmer

12. nacho cheese warmer
Includes shipping, codes, warranties, etc. for $20,000. (Max $23,000)
Pete Mernedakis moves to approve the purchase, seconded by Tim Sheppard,
to spend up to $23,000 to purchase the equipment and have it installed.
Motion carries. Bob Daniels reports he may have connections through his
construction work to get some better prices. He will get quotes within
24-48 hours.
PROGRAMS COMMITTEE (Hope Boren and Tammy Corriveau)
- Explained layout, and the joint programs venture this year with Central
- Need rep from each fall sports club to view pictures to correct names,
spelling, etc.
- Ad forms will be e-mailed to everyone
LEGACY/SPIRIT COMMITTEE (Jim Marn)
- April meeting with Carla Fultz (North cheerleading advisor)
- Spirit should come from students; fall rally before first game
- May need some start up money for cheerleaders to arrange something
- Mark Uher indicated Olentangy was doing an all day event with parade,
tours, dinner, pep rally, bonfire, etc.
- Bob McFadden indicated no pep rallies are allowed- questioning why not?
- Now is the time to start new things/ideas and come up with traditions |
