Meeting was called to order by Paul Smithberger at 7:35pm. Unanimous approval of both previous minutes
and treasurer’s report.
Wrestling sectional February 12, Swimming host event in
Lancaster on February 29th. We will be
hosting Division II, III or IV Sectional, District, Regional dates to be
announced, opportunity for sports clubs to make money on concessions. Track Regional Division III, multiple day
event will need track to handle event and other clubs or track to handle
concessions (will be big).
CONCESSION REPORT (Paul
Smithberger)
Lynne Neike was in another room tabulating totals for sports clubs for their
work at concessions. Those checks will
be available late this week for pick up.
Also went over some bank deposits where multiple sports events happened
on same day. Decisions were made on how
to split those with the parties involved in agreement. Concessions are settling in Lynne Neike and
Lisa Elfline will be setting up for events.
Sue Rosebrook is potentially coming in to handle bank receipts and
sports clubs amounts (will be checking with her to verify) and Lisa DeCarlo
will transfer product from high school to Junior High as needed.
Don Gordon (Football) announced Valentines Day dance is
still on for February 14th, announcements to each sports club will be going out
soon. The band that was scheduled has
retired, looking for replacement, or possible DJ. Details coming
Beth Smith (Girls Basketball) Thanked everyone for their help at the Holiday Classic. Totals have not been done yet - all bills
are not in, Bob Cruse will be reporting on that at a future meeting.
CAR RAFFLE STATUS (Paul Smithberger)
Went over with each sports clubs where they stand on getting raffle tickets
in. Drop-Dead turn in date will be
Wednesday, January 12 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in our regular booster meeting
room. If you are turning in tickets at
that time expect to stay and help tally your tickets turned in. If you can turn in earlier give Lana Brindle
a call to make arrangements. The sooner
the better. If tickets are later than
Wednesday, you will have to deliver to Pete Lahr at central. If that happens just deliver the stubs (get
a receipt for how many you turned in) the money and who gets credit will be
handled by Lana after the drawing. The
drawing is Monday evening.
Bob Daniel not in attendance to report on concession trailer
– will be in touch with that information either at next meeting or by special
broadcast e-mail.
