Reviewed organizational network- one Booster Club with two booster organizations; one for each school. Goal: Begin operating July 1st as a club!

MEMBERSHIP DISCUSSION
- Get parental support from all parents with students participating in athletics
- Discussed problem of a small group of parents doing the large amount of work.  How do you get everyone involved?
- Idea of time commitment vs. monetary commitment from each family
- Get fundraising more controlled so we don't “nickel and dime” people
- Need to make sure fundraising is fair and coordinated (timing) between the two schools
- Clubs should maybe team up for joint fundraiser
- Should membership application have choice of where they want their money sent? Central, North or split.

CONCESSIONS DISCUSSION
- No equipment presently; capital funds (if leftover) from bond can be used for items such as refrigerator and stove. Mark Aprile will look into this.
- Should present equipment be split between schools?
- Jackie Bailey has done the enormous job of running concessions; how will we do all this? Should we pay a concession coordinator?
- Identification of supports for concessions- Booster Club has run basketball and football concessions, soccer, most of wrestling, and track as well.
- Cross country, baseball and softball have operated their own for their individual sport revenue.
- Can coaches get more involved in encouraging parents to work concessions?
- Can we set up a work or pay?
- Mark Aprile reports our income in concessions is more than other booster club’s entire income. The only clubs bringing in more income have Bingo.
- Jackie recommends main Boosters Club handle all large tournaments if income is going to be tight.
- Mark suggested if we concentrate on membership and concessions (at least initially), we should generate a good amount of income if we do it well
- Many agreed we need to market ourselves well, there are probably people out there who want to help and get involved but don’t know how, what the Boosters Club is, etc.
- Need to set goals: How much money do we need by a certain date? What is the potential membership? Next meeting may be a good time to set goals.
- How will lack of seniors affect us next year?
- Should we involve the athletes themselves in helping with concessions?
* Geno Persichetti, Vice President will head up work group to organize concessions and Dick Schulz will assist- others encouraged to help, as well.

PROGRAMS DISCUSSION
- Advertisement sale is good revenue; needs to get going quickly
- Needs to be coordinated with Central; probably sell joint ads in both programs
- Possibly have one program with same set of ads, only team pictures, rosters, etc. are different
- Keep it simple the first couple of years because there’s so much to be done
- Establish work group to coordinate with Central
* Hope Boren, Secretary will head up work group to coordinate programs; Tammy Coriveau will assist. Will work with people from Central.

SPORTS CLUBS AND FINANCES DISCUSSION
- Need to open checking account
- Fall sports clubs maybe could closed soon, winter sports clubs shortly after; this process of closing needs to begin and establish new clubs with new officers.
- Jerry reports it would be easier for new accounts to be opened July 1st, since the fiscal year ends June 30th.
- Need financial policies for each sport club and large Booster club.
* Patty Williams, Treasurer, will head up and work with Jerry Moore.

SPIRIT IDEAS AND SHARING THE LEGACY
- Start a tradition and build a tradition
- Pep rally or something of that sort
- Possibly get involved in parades
- Can Boosters Club sell apparel?
* Jim Marn will head up work group, Robin Nichols will assist.

CLOSING (Mark Aprile’s comments)
- He has always been against pay-to-play, but if people are not willing to help out, maybe we need to consider that. Others added that coaches/ parents meetings must happen!
- Booster Club must take control and approve all fundraisers. We need to be careful not to frustrate business community - Marketing Booster Club- may help with website being updated, newsletter being reinstated, etc.
- Athletes participating in concessions should help somewhat- set up, tear down, stock, etc., but perhaps not selling.
